The sailors calling them racial names like “speeks”, local anesthetic night clubs not allowing them in after a trusted time, and swimming pools not allowing them to go swim. Raisin in the sun is a very powerful play as well. It is a play of an African American family try to reach the ultimate American dream in a time of hate, discrimination and separate of racism. This family lives in an apartment where they have to share a toilet room with an other family.
